Oppo BDP 83 SE Nuforce Edition and more

I have decided i need to liquidate some of my stuff to help in the purchase of a different work truck that i need badly. So i have alot of stuff i thought i would give polkies first crack and if no luck here off to Audiogon.

First off is my Oppo BDP 83 SE Nuforce Edition. I bought this I believe in July last year from the original owner who had not even opened the box. It has been solid. There are no issues with this player and it is in MINT condition. I have everything that came with it. $900 shipped.

Second is my pair of Arcam P1 monoblock amps. 170x1. I am really gonna miss these babies. They are also in MINT condition. I have original box, power cord, manual. $1800 i'll split shipping.

P1 Right.jpg

Next is my Arcam P38 stereo amp. 100 x 2 This thing has blown me away. (i secretly hope it doesn't sell because i would love an excuse to keep it.) A couple very small marks not easy to see in a rack or entertainment stand. I just bought this a month or so ago and have used it enough to know it is solid and issue free. $800 shipped. I have original box, power cord, manual.

And last but not least is my newly acquired and already loved Arcam CD37. I am in love with this player. I can listen for hours. (i also hope it doesn't sell lol) A couple very small marks on the face only noticable very close up but dont penetrate the finish. Looks more like dusting marks. I have original box, power cord, manual, and remote. $1050 shipped.

CD37..JPG

Oops i also have my Arcam AV9 processor. My absolute favorite of the bunch. Simply amazing piece of gear. I will shed a tear the day i send this off to it's lucky new owner. I also have original box, manual, power cord and remote for this as well. $1400 split shipping.

Attachment not found.Attachment not found.
Av9 Back 1.jpg

I have listed the P1's and the Av9 on a different classified site at higher prices but thought i would give pokies a chance as some decent prices. I have a fellow interested in the AV9 right now but if that doesn't pan out then its free game on here.

Man posting that add was the hardest thing i have had to do in a long time. I love this stuff. I remember the rush i got when i received each and every piece. Good times. I drooled over all this stuff for a long time and still can't believe i own it. Funny... as i was typing this add up so i can afford to replace my work truck, my neighbor rear ended my personal truck sitting in front of my house. Unfrickinbelievable.

Im not sure which is worse. Being from Canada or cruising audio community sites for super deals in order to flip for profit. i see each and every one of your 26 posts is in the flea market. Have you ever even heard a polk audio speaker?

I see you bought an OPPO BDP 83 SE awhile off of this flea market. Why then would you be needing to buy mine if you werent trying to make money off it hmmmmmm?

You bet im Canadian and im proud of it. which one of us is on here trying to pull a fast one? Take a look at my posts and then try and tell me that i havent contributed to this forum for the love of audio only and not for pure profit. Each of the pieces i have listed here i will be taking a loss on. Some moreso than others.

Our old deal falls through because of pricing issues so you find my add on here (for alot less than the add you replied to initially) and try to take advantage of polkie pricing when you are clearly not a polkie and not a contributing member of this forum? I call you on this scam and now you have the nerve to post what you did on my for sale thread?

If anyone reads this i ask you which is worse, being Canadian or being a slimeball like this dude?

if you arent pulling our leg about your neighbor hitting your truck, while posting to sell gear to pay for another truck, that is the most incredible thing i have heard in awhile, like something out of a coen bros. movie.

I would use the term hilarious, but im sure it is not to you.

Sorry about the truck. Nice gear. Good luck, jayman.

He is just trying to interfere with my sale. He is upset because i (very politely) explained to him through email that i wont sell to him. Its clear what he is up to and i know people are doing this all the time. I have nothing personal against him and he is free to buy and sell but i just chose not to sell to him. I think all of us here sort of feel the same about this type of stuff. Simply put, I dont feel i should drop my pants on a deal so a guy can turn a profit on it. I guess i cant prove thats what he is up to but for some reason i just had a feeling and decided to pass on him.

I certainly did not intend to bring this out in public but then when i see him try to interfere with my thread i felt i had to respond. Again it has nothing to do with Canadian or American, its about the hobby and this community.

Scouts honor. Whats more crazy is how it all went down. He insists on bringing his grain truck into the city and parking out front of his house. Our street is on a hill. That day it has melted alot and then froze, leaving the streets icy. He parked uphill from my house then walked past mine down to his house so he could move his half ton to make room for the grain truck.

While he was movingf his half ton, the grain truck started sliding down the hill and slammed into my truck and pushed it down the hill 40 feet or so. When they stopped sliding he had a chance to hop into his grain truck and tried to back up but being slippery as it was, he would get back a couple feet and then slide forward and slam into my truck again, and again, and again until he figured out it wasnt going to work. I watched this all through my livingroom window while i posted this add.

I will PM you my email so you can send pictures there as well, if that is easier. If that was my neighbor he would had his head smacked again, and again, and again. Jeez... I am assuming you two had a fun exchange of words.

Ok. Its clear that someone is **** with me now. My pictures have been removed and i cannot post pics anymore. So if anyone wants pics pm me with your email and i will send them to you. If you are PMing me and i'm not responding, it means i'm not receiving them and that means that my account has been seriously fuxord with and in that case guess my sale would be over.

I am interested in the Arcam CD137 standalone player. I have an OPPO 83SE, and I see that you have a OPPO 83NE. Does the CD37 beat the OPPO for analog sound quality?

The CD37 definitely beats the Oppo NE. I find it adds extra layers to the sound and widens the soundstage by quite a margin. The Oppo is very good but to me the CD37 is nicer to listen to for longer periods. One thing i find in my system is it allows the speakers to blend in better to a point where they almost dissapear.

i do have an interested party at the moment but if they pass i will let you know.

Ok thanks, doesn't sound like you are ready to part with the Arcam CD37, I thought I was first in line as I didn't see any other response to your ad! Strange, since your previous response's did not indicate that!

    Just disregard my offer!

I apologize. The fellow interested contacted me from another site from the thread i posted when i bought the CD37. In the thread i mentioned that i would be comparing it to my Oppo NE and then keeping it or selling it. He must have just noticed the thread recently as he just made contact a day ago indicating his interest should i decide to pass it on. Im sorry i guess i should have updated.

Just an update. The P1s are sold. The rest is still available. No interest in the Oppo at least? Keep in mind this is a Nuforce Edition. Its keeping up pretty close to my CD37 which is an amazing cd player in the $2000 price range. Any offers? I would like to move to $1350 shipped on the AV9 as well.
