Hookup for PSW125

I currently have a Sony Dream System and I am wanting to purchase a PSW125 Sub since the sub on the Sony system has started to distort. The system does not have a sub-woofer out other than the speaker line output. Could I use that output to the speaker input on the PSW125 and would it connect to just the left or right channel input or would I have to split the signal someway to feed both left and right? Thanks for any help.
