MM120 subs/amp wiring

Hi everyone,
I'm new to car audio, just starting to build a system and have some questions about wiring my new MM120 subs. I have an Alpine CDA7875 deck fed to an Alpine MRV-1507 amp running 2 MM120 subs in an enclosed .88 box, as suggested by Polk. My installer wired the subs in stereo, but my friends say they should be wired bridged.
I'm having a hard time reading Alpine's specs for this amp. It looks like at 14.4 volts it has 225w RMS stereo per channel into 4 ohms, 450w RMS per channel into 2 ohms, and 900w RMS bridged into 4 ohms.
So if I read this right, I currently am running 225w RMS through each sub that is rated for 500w RMS. Is this too low a wattage for the subs? If I wire them bridged, would I have 2 or 4 ohms? If 2 ohms, does anyone know if this amp will run at 2 ohms bridged? Which power rating would I have, then? What do you think would be the best way to wire these? Thanks for any help.
FYI

run em briged at a 2 ohm load in parallel, the Alpine Amp should have no trouble at all pushing them, just make sure that you have decent ventilation of the amp as it will get warmDerek S.

Thanks for the reply. I'll switch them to bridged and see how they sound.
