Asked and answered in the other thread you started. Why two threads?
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Since you keep looking for a set, it sounds like you really like that model. Considering they were $1400 (plus tax) when they were new in the early 90's, $400 for an "almost perfect" set sounds like a fair/good deal to me. Can you get a better deal? Probably, but how long are you willing to wait?
After years of enjoyment, you won't even notice the $400 gone from your pocketbook...
