does anybody have an recommendation or opinion on how much a pair of rta15tl's are worth or should go for?

    I'd check ebay and craigslist and compare pricing.

    They are worth what you are willing to pay for them.You said in your other post they are $250.If they are not junk that's a good price.

    the pair that I looked at that was 250 weren't worth it!!!
    found another pair that are almost perfect for 400?
    any recommendations

    Since you keep looking for a set, it sounds like you really like that model. Considering they were $1400 (plus tax) when they were new in the early 90's, $400 for an "almost perfect" set sounds like a fair/good deal to me. Can you get a better deal? Probably, but how long are you willing to wait?

    After years of enjoyment, you won't even notice the $400 gone from your pocketbook...
