    Here's it's specs.
    OTL (output transformerless) circuit
    Pulse Power Supply

    High Current Mode 1 - 2 ohms speaker impedance
    High Voltage Mode 2 - 4 ohms speaker impedance

    Speaker impedance: 1 - 8 ohms (stereo)
    2 - 8 ohms (bridged)

    Maximum outputs (high current/high voltage)
    120/230 w x 2 (at 4 ohms)
    380/580 w (monoaural) at 4 ohms

    Rated outputs (high current/high voltage) @ 14.4 v
    50/100 w x 2 (20 Hz to 20K Hz.)
    0.04% THD @ 4 ohms
    70/140 w x 2 (20 Hz to 20K Hz.)
    0.1 THD @ 2 ohms
    140/280 w (monaural) 20 Hz to 20K Hz
    @ 0.1 THD @ 4 ohms

    Freq. respon 5Hz to 50K Hz +0.5 dB -3 dB

    Harmonic Dist. 0.005 % or less ( at 1K Hz, 4 ohms)

    Damping factor Greater then 200 @ 4 ohms

    Signal to Noise more then 110 dB ( A weighted )

    Current Drain 26 A @ rated output

    If I need to replace it I'm seriously considering Polks 300.2 amp. I'm a sucker for a amp that can produce large amounts of dynamic headroom. It's a bit pricey at 450 US bucks but I'm the type who doesn't mind paying a little extra to obtain quality in a product.

    you can do as good or better for less money ...

    if you want something that's like 150 x 2 then by all means check these out:

    1- Hifonics Zeus ZX600 - 150 x 2 at 4 ohms stereo / < 0.05% thd / high and low xovers / 10 to 30k hertz freq resp
    > $280 after instant rebate... 1 yr warranty

    http://www.sounddomain.com/shop/item.pl?sku=HIFZX6000

    2- Phoenix Gold Titanium (refurb) - 150 x 2 at 4 ohms stereo / not listed thd (its gotta be low this is their TOP line) / high and low xovres / 20 to 20k hertz freq resp
    ----> $429 (50% off 800 list) 90 day warranty

    http://www.sounddomain.com/shop/item.pl?sku=PHORTI6002

    3- Mtx 8302 - 125 x 2 at 4 ohm stereo / <0.3% thd / high and low xovers / 20 - 20k hertz freq range
    ----> $199 (on closeout) - 3 yr warranty

    not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it's a very very dependable amp that will not break down on you come hell or high water -- and its got a 3 year warranty through crutchfield/mitek. it'll say "75 x 2" in the ad -- its a vastly underrated product -- actual birth sheets come out at like 120-130 at 4 ohms stereo at 12.5 volts -- its more at 14.4 volts (what everybody else rates at).

    4- Profile CA600 - 150 x 2 at 4 ohms stereo / low and high pass xovers / 0.07% thd / 20 to 30k hertz freq resp
    ----> $150 - 3 yr warranty

    http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-Y3oot2ARooA/ProdView.asp?a=0&s=0&cc=01&g=110&id=features_and_specs&i=489CA600

    admittedly the profile is a budget amp - but the other 3 are as good or better than the momo amp at like much less dinero -- except the PG TI but that's half off sticker anyway.

    point is -- shop around -- there are a lot of good 150 x 2 at 4 ohm stereo amps out there that cost less and will sound as good or better without drainin the pocket.

    Right on...Thank You for the information. If I do end up replacing my current amp (no pun intended) you can rest asssured that I'll do my homework as always before making any purchase. The key issues that I look for when purchasing an amp is: quality of workmanship, design, sound reproduction and then price. As far as specs go... I look for and amp that is able to double it's output above it's rated output at the impedance of the speakers I plan to use. Also a high signal to noise ratio, at least 100 dB or more. THD @ 0.1 % or better ( the human ear can't hear distortion below that anyhow ) (but it can be a clue as to the quality of the design of the amp as can S/N ratio ) I also look for gold plated connects on all power, pin and RCA inputs and outputs. I know you shouldn't judge a book until you finish reading it. And that there is more to an amplifier then just the specs. But it's my opinion it's a good place to start.
