I'm looking for 5mm bi-color (Red/Blue) thru hole LED's with two leads (bi-polar), non-flashing.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer. The situation is that I have a red/green in a piece of gear already and want to change it to a red/blue. I've been looking everywhere and found plenty of red/greens, but no red/blue other than those that flash.

You might find the blue to not be a drop in replacement as it may have a different operating voltage.A resistor change may be necessary.

Yes, I am aware that a new LED may require changing the resistors. Now, if I could only find a damn red/blue LED.

Not that it helps you any, but I found it quite interesting that when I googled red/blue LED's - everything I got in return was for hydroponic uses.

I'll ask around, I know quite a few of the car guys are in the know with LED vendors for modding. Not sure there is much use for dual color lights in a car though, they may only have straight colors.

Stan, I don't know how you found that, but thanks!

Other than the brightness (much higher than I want, but at this point I'm not going to be picky) they do not have any specs listed, so I sent them an email.

    Glowrdr, that would be great.

Ok, they responded quickly and they do fit my needs. However, as I proceeded to checkout I was informed they have a $20.00 minimum order. I was going to order 10 for a total of $4.00 plus shipping. As they had nothing else that I want and I just happened to find some on eBay, I did not place an order with them at this time. I'll wait and see how the ones from eBay work out as they seem to be the same ones.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

Can you get by with a 5mm? Mouser has these these with no minimum order. They have a flange behind the lead that might help with mounting.

I finished installing a red/blue LED in my pre amp and a blue one in the amp tonight. Neither job was exactly what one might call easy, but the results were worth it. Oh, look at the pretty BLUE lights.
