Ok, so aside from alpine haveing the name recgonition. Im looking to get some feed back from you guys on this please, and thank you. Now if you have had a chance to look at these amp you will see that the Massive audio amp does not offer a whole lot of tuning features, and is pretty straigt forward. The alpine offers more in that area, but since the HU as a good eq on it already. Does it really matter to have those features on the amp? Also do to size restrictions im thinking of the N4 amp a little more. Dont get me wrong, I still partical the alpine, just because the RMS setting is pretty much where I want to be. However the massive audio will do the same, but down to 1ohm. As for price they both are at the same price range. As for power management I have that covered, so thats good. So, let me know your thoughts/views.

Thanks.

I understand that alpine is well a big name, and they do make good products as well. However with massive audio they also get good reviews as well, and overall they are positive. Also this question still stands cause im not sure if it matters or not. Since the HU as a good eq on it already. Does it really matter to have those features on the amp?

    Thanks.

This is very ture. But like I said as for MA that have a good following, and they have all said that for such a small package it produces a bunch of clean power. Im glad you chimed in on here, and gave your thoughts. So, i guess it is safe to say that haveing the tuning option on the HU would fine either way, and that the tuning features are just more of a bouns in my case, and would be a for lack of a better double filtering.? I can see where having all those tuning options on the amp if lets say I kept my current CZ500. This HU does not offer that much in tuning features so, I would then lean on the amp to help filter out the rest right..??

    Thanks.

    Because he's biased:tongue:

The 8600 was plagued with problems though. I'm a Pioneer guy but was never fond of that unit.

I kind of figured some of the opinions on would be biased, just do to the fact that alpine well....is a good brand, and makes good stuff. MA however is not really known. So, yeah.. Well I hope the HU does not act up, if it does, then I will see about getting it fixed or what not. I mean that HU is no longer available. If worse comes to worse, I would get a 13 band external eq, and do it that way.

    Thanks.

Yes Im biased. Ive used over a dozen different Alpine amps and head units over the last decade, and theyve all performed flawlessly. Cant beat that. So I choose them for their build quality.

Not saying the Massive Audio isnt a good amp - I know next to nothing about them so I cant say one way or the other. But I know what youll get with Alpine, and thats a good quality piece of gear.

Thanks mac. That makes sense. Well now that you say you have been using their stuff for a while. Have you ever used the M2000? If so, what do you think of the size? I have not seen one in person yet, so it is hard to tell.

Lots of spam around here lately.

I haven't tried the new Alpine amps. My last amp from them was the old V12 line with the half silver covers. Loved those. I also used a couple of their V Power amps that are the best entry level amps IMO.

The stuff I haven't used, I've talked to a lot of guys in the lanes that do run them and they all seem to be pretty satisfied.

The reason I asked is, because I have some limitations on how big of an amp I can get. Aside form having to a mock up of the amp to see if it fit. I was hoping to get a better idea.
