Just watched them on Austin City Limits and really enjoyed their set.

Chuckled when they broke into the theme from "Hung". Always liked that tune, just assumed it was some black, bluesman... not two white kids from Akron, oHIo...

I see they have six releases; any suggestions for a new fan's first CD?
More later,

I just bought "Brothers" yesterday after hearing from everyone how good it was. The first 2 or 3 songs don't really do much for me but after that the rest seem pretty good. I've listened three times already and it seems to be improving each time. A worthwhile purchase, imo.

I was surprised as well! I love how the guitarist gets such a nice tone from basically nothing but an amp and guitar. Very little effects, if any does he use.

I have Catch & Release, Brothers, and Rubber Factory (listed in order of my preference). I'm in the process of packing and moving, but if you can wait a couple of weeks I'll send you a copy of Brothers with the original CD case. If you're lucky, I'll find the CD when I move and send you the real thing instead of a copy. Shoot me a pm with your address if you're interested.

Just picked up Brothers. Like it, like it a lot. Lots of growl out of their mix. I'll be getting more of their stuff. Reminds me of the early white stripes mix. Raw live and a little ruff.

Rubber Factory is my favorite of the 3 I bought, but they all keep getting better with each listen.

I just picked up three of their albums from the used CD store the other day for $4/each! Looking forward to hearing more of them (I already had 'Brothers' and like it).

Ordered Rubber Factory from Amazon a couple days ago and they had Brothers for $7, so I nabbed it as well.

Thanks for the earlier offer PSOVLSK, but I'm good now.

I heard it the other day too, it's the first song I've liked from them.

I definately agree about his solo album! You should also look up some stuff by Junior Kimbrough. If you like the Black Keys, you will definately like his stuff.

After hearing a few tunes from Brothers, I bought it. Shortly after Catch and Release and Rubber Factory were on their way to my mail-box. I can't wait for the new album. I am sure they are deadly live, and look forward the oppurtunity to catch a show. I hadn't heard about a solo album... I will have to check it out. :)
