Hey guys, I don't know if much has been said across the border, but here's some pics of the Stones in Toronto yesterday. Estimated 450,000 people.

    I get paranoid with shopping mall crowds so I could not even imagine being there!

    I didn't go because the crowd was going to be crazy and it was a wednesday. No real incidents though, pretty impressive.

    I'm curious,

    This concert was supposed to show the "world" that Toronto is a safe place to visit after SARS. Have any of you in U.S. seen any press coverage regarding this concert? I'd like to know if the message really got out there or not.

    I heard that the concert had gone on when I was listening to the Howard Stern show this morning. It's out there.......

    The local news did a 30 sec. spot on it last night and there was a piece in the local paper about it this morning.

    Personally I don't see the point in going to a live show if you can't even see the band without the help of a giant tv screen.

    I guess $16 tickets (Canadian?) is a good way to gaurantee a big turnout.

    I'm too old to deal with the hassle of such a huge crowd anymore.

    Geez, and I thought it was a huge crowd when I saw them at Soldier Field way back in '78 (78,000 people).

    $20CDN, I think $16US. Good to hear it got some press. There was a whole lot of press up here and I don't have cable anymore, so no American channels.

    I was also supposed to ease fears of Mad cow. Free burgers and stuff.

    Sorry Ron, I saw them a few years ago here in DC and they play better than ANY band I've ever seen live and I've seen hundreds.
