Looking at a new job...

So I've worked here for over four years now. Life's not horrible, it pays okay and the job is easy. I sit in front of two monitors fixing servers (exchange, sql, clustering etc) all day ..and looking at clubpolk.

Anyways an opportunity just presented itself to me when I purchased the Sony KDL-40XBR3 from a craigslister, who happened to be the VP of IT operations for a very large oil company here. Had a phone interview today....Will have a real one Monday.

I hope all goes well. I've been looking for an opportunity like this so I can further my finances, and in turn, my relationship goals with the current gf... More money = easier to get married and have kids, lol.

I'll give more specifics after everything goes down... antsy!

Be careful, one of my customers is a big oil company. They sub out the admin work overseas(India for example) through big companies like IBM and HP and then when the contract is up for renewal they can always go with someone else. And even if you work for the company now they still look at costs down the road and consider subbing it out to overseas personnel. Make sure it is secure. Good luck !!

IT jobs don't grow on trees these days. I hope this turns out to be the dream job. I bet your post rate starts to drop though. Doubt you will be able to hang out here during the day. At least until you find the outside DSL "Test" line that's not monitored.

I think it went well! Lots of Competency Based Questions... I used to be the one asking them here lol.

We will see, should get a call sometime this week. It was the manager, and two other guys, 3 vs me. I think I held my own very well! Crossing my fingers until I hear...

They seem to actually grow on trees here in Canada (or at least Ottawa). Despite the US economy, I was in the impression the demand would be as extensive or close as they are here in Ottawa. I join with you in hoping this turns out to be the jackpot/dream job!

My fingers are crossed too for you, I hope you, pray and send good thoughts so you can hit the jackpot with this job contest and find a way to smile at the economy ordeal.
