Recommendations for Denon AVR-1610
I have a Denon AVR-1610 Receiver hooked up with tiny satellites from my previous setup. I'm looking for some recommendations for new left/right/center speakers to update my system. Like the sound of polks so have settled on the brand.

Receiver pushes 75W, will be in a room about 12 foot by 12 foot (10 foot ceilings) and looking to spend around $800US all up. Listion to music/movies evenly. Looking to get bookshelf speakers. I'm a little worried about getting any speakers which might push the receiver a little too hard as I don't want to end up clipping the signal etc etc.

At this point leaning towards TSi100 for L&R and CS10 for center.

I'd like the RTi A series as they sound like a better speaker but i'm thinking they might just be too much for my reciever? I'm a little new to all this though so if you can allay my fears they could be an option.

any thoughts would be appreciated, cheers :)

Why don't you grab the RTi4 from J & R for $149 a pair shipped? Very similar to RTi A1 for less cash, and superior to the TSi100. They're fairly efficient speakers.

I'm selling the same Denon right now as it was underpowered for my needs, but it should be up to driving those Polks well.

    WELCOME TO CLUB POLK!

Your AVR can drive both RTI-A bookshelves well enough. They're pretty efficient and an 8 ohm load.

Rti=4s are a good choice. I have a higher model Denon that sounds very very nice with RTI-A3s up front. The warmer sounding Denon is a nice match with the slightly forward Rti series; they bring out the best in each other!

Thanks for the replies guys :) Nice to know my receiver should be up to the task.

Unfortunately I live at the **** end of the world (New Zealand) and it looks like J&R won't ship here because that looks like a super good deal on the RTI-A4 :(

Anyone know of any online stores with decent prices that might ship down here? I'll probably end up having to pay extortionate prices from the local dealers here lol.... but i'm not expecting any different so it's all good :P

Guessing i'd want to match the RTi's with a CSi center if that were the route i'd take?

    I had a 1600 series Denon....It had plenty of power. I don't get the 'it's underpowered' thing.

I said it was underpowered "for my needs." It was.

You never mentioned a sub. If no sub, get the TSi200s.

The CSiA4 center will match up with the RTi4 speakers or RTiA1's. The CSiA6 would match up with the larger RTi6's and RTiA3's.
