I'm gonna have to go with Hendrix on this one! That's not to say that the others are chopped-liver?

I have to go Hendrix. The other guys and gal would use Hendrix on an album to get better sales in either case.

I'd also throw Ian Curtis in this too young category. Joy Division was pretty influential at that time and his writing was very emotional. Check out a movie called Control, it's a biopic and is very good. It's based on a book written by his wife Deborah Curtis, that I cannot recall right now.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I'm gonna have to go with Joplin. Some may not describe what she did as talent but I sure as hell dug it. Don't believe there's ever been anyone else like her before or after her as well. She was unique, one of a kind and had a style that was completely hers.

Tough call, I'll say Kurt, just because he is my favorite of the bunch - and he did one of the greatest things to music ever - the death of hair metal as soon as Nevermind hit the airwaves.

    Absolutely Hendrix.

Anyone who thinks Kurt Cobain was more talented or close to as talented than/as anyone else on that list needs to have their head examined (IMO).

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

I'd say his music is now more influential than ever. Great call. And the movie was unbelievable (if not thoroughly depressing). Then again... he did hang himself ****SPOILER ALERT****** at the end.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Well, he doesn't count, it's the dead at 27 thread, not the dead at 23. ;)
