I'm looking to buy what appears to be SDA 1C speakers.

There is a med. size sticker put on each back label. Black square, white C.

Is this the markings of the C version?

Thanks

Possibly, IIRC later 1C's had this added to the label. There were 2 versions of the 1C which have nothing to do with the cabinets. The only way to know for sure is to pull the drivers. Also early 1C's had the split x-over board. Then there was the Studio version which has a different cabinet but those could be early or late 1C's.

All this is from memory so anyone feel free to add.

    Thanks guys.

I'm kind-of excited to own my own pair of SDA 1C's.
I wanted those fully moded ones but the price was just more than I could afford lately. I know they were well worth it.

If you pull the radiator and look at the X-over youll see a small sticker on the board with the designation ..as always be careful when pulling any drivers..and congratulations on your new purchase.

    Thanks .

I went on the 3.5 hr. drive down to get them this Sat. and then the man doesn't come to the door when I knock. I thought he sold them to somebody else and didn't care about me, since I asked him to hold them for a week. I went on down the road telling my wife I should let the air out his tires or something. I quickly just thought , oh well , he just saved me some money and we'll carry on with our other iteneraries. 5 or 10 min. later, he calls me and asks if I'm close. Yeh, I've already been there and you didn't answer the door. Oh, I'm sorry, I was in the shower. Can you come back? You bet I can.

Man,these speakers look brand new!
The bases (small white push pads on each corner)don't even look like they have scraped across anything in their life. One very small dent on the back on top of one. White discoleration on some dust caps.......That's it.

I hooked them up tonight and put an RCA interconnect between the pin connectors and what a beautiful sound. I had to turn the bass up on the receiver I'm using to balance the sound though. (I'll check all the screws tomorrow to see if air presure is leaking out somewhere.) I then tested the volume capability.

    WOW:eek:................Awsome power handling ability!
