Sid, shut up already about the effin M&K, and anything relating 'it' to 'bass'.
How about replacing the blown driver in it, that would be the best 'boost' I can think of.
Jesus H Christ.

I am playing a familiar bass track and by ear - it is noticeable *MUCH* and by much I mean LOUD - as in, HOLY SHEAT! The bass null I had before - NO MORE! Even at low volumes my room is vibrating! WOW!!!!!!! I shall report back with more!!!!!!!! WHOAH!
RUSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! EFFFFFFFFF YOU!!!!!! hahaahha! I am very happy right now.......veerrrrryyyyy impressed- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
You'll want to low pass that M&k at 20Hz for best results.

DAC: Arcam irDac

This subwoofer is like 14 years old - it has no new technology. It dosnt even have a phase switch......lol!
Hmmmmm.........I would cross it over at 20hz -- but the forward woofer cuts off at 30hz or so.......so that would kinda defeat the purpose.......- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

I plan to get a SVS. I could care less about the M&K - I am just looking for louder bass while I wait. Which will be a long wait....lol
The bass by guesstament has rose about 3-5db. If not more. I need to borrow my Dad's SPL meter. But it is considerably louder. There is no longer a bass null in the room. It gradually lightens but is always very present.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
C'mon Sid, I thought you knew more about audio than to make a remark like this. He's talking about a sub-sonic filter, the whole point being you CAN'T hear the frequency, so get it out of there and free up the power and driver for the frequencies you CAN hear. That IS the purpose of a sub-sonic filter, not defeating it.Hmmmmm.........I would cross it over at 20hz -- but the forward woofer cuts off at 30hz or so.......so that would kinda defeat the purpose....... -
As I said before.........
*i dont have that technology*
I've never heard of a SUbsonic Filter.......my sub dosnt have it.....
