Anyone have experience with these? Thoughts? These are 2-way.

    Can I have them?

They aren't really two way, EV and University among others took liberty calling the 'whizzer' a 'way'. While these don't have the typical whizzer cone, the raised portion around the dustcap, with the 'vents' is the same thing for all intents and purposes. I had a pair of 15 inch models, wish I still did. Really easy to drive, tube friendly, work best in large slot ported, or folded horn enclosures.

I will buy them from you, seriously. ;)
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

THey are pretty good extended range drivers, as Russ implied. They're also sensitive; "great for tube amps". Don't go knocking twincone drivers without listening to some! :-) There are some pretty good ones...

I am not knocking them. Just haven't heard them in a proper cabinet. I would hope they sound better than an old pair of Utah's I have from around the same vintage. Totally different than the Uni's I know, but the Utah's sound like **** to me.

heh. Many of the inexpensive Utah twincone and coax drivers were pretty not great sounding indeed. The Celestas, e.g., had beautiful and unique cast baskets, but do in fact sound, to paraphrase the previous post, donkey-like :-)

An aside: Radio Shack sold OEM versions of some of the Utahs, branded "Americana"... some with rather striking :-P orange baskets.

For what it's worth, one of my very favorite-est ever twincone drivers was also sold by R/S... don't know who was the OEM, but the 40-1354 5-1/4" twincone driver was made for car radios :-) but has excellent wideband response and "gets the midrange right".

In fairness, the pair I currently have in use has been modified with the phase plugs sold by Dave Dlugos. These do extend the HF response noticeably (obviated the need for "supertweeters", at least to my middle-aged ears).
