It's out of control. I feel sorry for the mods, really. Good thing is, they really seem to enjoy the Custom Fabrication area.

A couple more than posts on cables, audible differences in amps, and vinyl vs digital.

I was only offering up the observation that it is easy to spot them - maybe even 'head them off'.

Actually, that's just what I did with SIX of them, banned before first post, got two during the registration process. I'm making a list of ip's now, I've gotten FOUR hits today from 94.75.216.5 out of Amsterdam.

    You rock!

Too bad its like 'whack a mole' though.

Would making the registration process include the 'type this string' from a picture help any?

The bots can get through that stuff now, you would think there has to be something. My friend Adam Labarge that runs Audioreview has his forum locked down, he's running a much older version of VB though, I don't know if that makes a difference.

    We're all communicating on it.

This isn't the only forum that is getting hit hard by spammers. Seems to be an annually occurrence around this time of year.

That's what Patrick was saying, I'm just ready for it to subside. It's not that I have to sit here and delete them, but I feel bad that I have the power to, so I keep checking and checking and checking. Past few days, I've been doing it from my phone while I smoke, drop a duece, sit at a red light.

I hate the fact they are coming so fast, it just litters up the whole board.

For the past 2-3 weeks I'm averaging 25-30 bans a day, that's just me alone, not including what the other mods are catching.

Haven't seen any upswing over at badcaps.net, where I'm a mod.

I thought that Russman and Doro were taken off the mods list?
    Ludicrous gibs!

No, we are still mods, just handling spam and other stuff, instead of getting involved in ya'lls temper tantrums. ;)
