7b tweeters in 5b

I just purchased a pair of polk 5b speakers with the silver coil tweeter. To my ears, they're not the greatest sounding but hey, I bought them for the garage set up. I also have a pair of peerless (hole in the middle) tweeters from a set of 7b's (cabinets trashed).

Could I put the peerless into the 5's? Any issues with the crossover?

Thanks,

Rick

If the tweeters are the SL1000, then I think that the peerless should be drop in replacements. If the tweeters are the SL2000, then you'd be better off buying some RDO194 from Polk and selling the Peerless (to me?).

    Big Dawg,

OK, I give. How do I tell? These have a black fabric type dome with the hole in the middle. If it helps to identify them, the 7's that they came out of had 2 fuses.
BTW, I also have the 2 mid wofers and the 2 radiators. Both in very good condition.
Interested in these? Sorry, no crossovers.
