Hello everyone. I have posted for this issue in the past and have worked on it off and on. My SDA 1C Left channel has tweeter issues. The best I can describe it, is that the tweeters will cut out completely when playing at any volume during a quieter passage and kick back in usually when the bass comes back in.

-there is no poly-switch, it has been completely bypassed
-I have checked all connections including the X-over
-I have tried swapping tweeters between speakers

I am basically completely out of ideas and am trying the forum one last time in hope there is a little more help out there.

    sorry for a double post, I am going over the xover on my left channel

    On the SDA 1C x-overs what is the purpose of C4 marked on the Board?

    You have a loose connection somewhere in the chain. Could be on the board, could be the wiring harness, could be the connection at the tweeter, could be the actual voicecoil.

    C4 is a 750pF silver mica cap. It is used as a bypass cap to the 12uF at C3. If you upgrade the caps, remove and do not replace C4 with anything.
