Sansui TU-719

have up for grabs a Sansui tu719 tuner. digital and analog readout. all lights work, digital readout works great. This was purchased NEW in japan in 1979 by the original owner while he was in the service. i have acquired these items to clean them up, inspect them, and potentially sell. this unit has been tested for functionality by Harry. while it will tune into a station, it could certainly use a realignment to help it really lock in hard on a station and keep it. all knobs, switches, etc work great. this is going up at a polkie price of $100 plus shipping. i am located in greenwood, indiana, and it is available to be tested by whomever you choose. i will travel within 1 hour to drop this off as well.
pictures!
do not pay attention to dirt on it, it has been cleaned up better. the only small mark left is the little black mark in the middle.
this was how it looked when i took the case apart. i have not cleaned the insides AT ALL. did not feel it was necessary after inspecting it

Folks... this is a terrific deal for a very good solid state tuner.

If I didn't already have a TU-717 I'd have nabbed it.

Hello,
I seen this tuner for sale today. Looks to be good deal but how clean is it? Is the finish scatched up or banged up on the faceplate or cover.
What about the plastic for the tuning dial is that unscratched and like new. The tuning knob is that like new. These Sansui tuners tend to show wear as they are steel and totally painted black not anodized like most equipment.
Also do all the lights work along with the florescent tube for the digital readout. The back of the tuner is the holder for the AM rod antenna totally intact and not cracked?
Sorry for all the questions but I am looking for something that looks pretty much as new. Is this the one?
Sny paperwork with it like the manual or anything?
Thank you,
Rick -
Hello again,
Could you email me at rick_ne@charter.net with the questions I had about the tuner?
I think that would make it easier to discuss it if you still have it for sale.
Thank you again,
Rick -
I might be interested in this if you you're willing to ship! I picked up a Sansui AU-517 recently and this would be a good match for it (though it's probably the true match for the AU-719--heck they look almost identical except for a bit extra power and some more switches)!
May PM you later when I get home!
