Hi,

Is there any advantage to using the rubber feet that came with the RTi70 speakers? (on a pergo floor, not carpet). I was just wondering if there was any improvement in the sound with using them vs. not using them.

Thanks,

Ray

    Ray,

The benefit to using the feet, or spikes, is that it isolates the speakers from the ground surface and allows the bass dispersion to be clear of the floor around it as I understand it. Some will claim that it tightens up the bass, but as with anything else audio, you really have to just try it to see if you see any difference. Why don't ya try putting the feet on one of the speakers and then play with the balance to see if you hear any audible difference between the two.

At the very least they will protect your pergo. Plus, I would imagine if they were playing at moderate volumes, they'd slide all over the place just from the vibes as laminate flooring is pretty slick.
