Haven't had my LS50s hooked up for a long time, but now that I do, I've noticed a rattle in one midwoof. Looking for a replacement mw7100.

I'm wondering if I have the same problem. Mine is the upper driver (are they both the same, upper and lower). The "buzz" is more noticeable at lower volumes. I took off the grill and just touched the surround while the speaker was playing. The buzz got much worse. This happens for about halfway around the driver. I read earlier that the glue can let go on these. this MW7100 driver has a Dec 17, 1993 date on it. I would like to find a replacement driver, preferably new but, I'm not that fussyWarning: I suffer from the delusion that knowledge will solve my problem.

I had one start to buzz a bit in my LS50's, was able to gently push on the surround and the problem would go away for a day or two, eventually,I just bought some used drivers and replaced it,problem solved:) Used ones show up occasionally here, or you can order some new ones at Polk. Let them know you're a CP member and they'll give you a bit of a discount.
