Stopped at a local Goodwill store today and snagged a pair of Wharfedale W70s. 3 Drivers with pots for both Treble and Midrange.

Put them in place of my Monitor 10Bs (with peerless tweeters).

I'm thinking the mids are more detailed and the imaging of the soundstage is better.

Bass seems a little tighter too.

hmmmmm....

.... I'm still listening.

Those are COOL speakers, and have gone up substantially in value in the past five years. The way the market has gone on these, especially with the economy in the tank, they may very well be better than money in the bank right now.

There were a lot of varaitions, especially with the cabinets, I'd love to see a picture of the variety you have.

    Cheers,

    .... pics....

The right speaker top veneer is a little rougher than the left

I had some that looked like yours as far as the main cabs, what the heck is underneath? Is the tweeter mounted on top? I have NEVER seen that, you might have scored REALLY big broham, that's wild.

    lol

That is a Telefunken (Eames Era) Satellite speaker (4 Ohm 6x9) Alnico driver speaker that i use in conjunction with my Yamaha DSP E300. (front effects).

The "speaker stands" are a pair of KLH 17s (face up) on a 12" tile.

I was about to say. I recognize the Tele, now that you have stated it as such. ;)
