Now if he can just take a picture in focus, Ted, why are you such a mess?

Marsh's failure was getting involved with Monster Cable....and epic failure of collaboration from my perspective.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

The Sound Lab shut that Sand down in about five minutes at 85db.....if I cross the monster and use it mono I can play one speaker....mono marsh...not what I had in mind...

I am sure though someone has a speaker for it....not my thing, but still cool of Dawgfish to let me use it and give it a go. I suppose in fairness a B&K ST just totally flopped...no stage, no image, totally flat with these speakers.

Where's the sand in the picture? The bright blurry and grainy Tube pic blinds my eyes...

    Not to mention the sounds...hehehe

The Marsh couldn't run Ricardo's MMG's so this is absolutely no surprise.

I bet and X250.5 0r X350.5 would give it a go! The X250 sure makes Ricardo's MMG's sing. It would be fun to find out, that's for sure.

the Pass boys are welcome to hop in their bus, visit Ga, and we can discuss...

I do try SS with these from time to time...have not found a SS yet that can match the tubes....the Sanders would be nice to try....Ayre is used but those top-line blocks are too much coin for me. Pass are few and far between here so no have not tried their big boy play toys. If richie has and had good results a nice indicator.

The ASL Hurricanes are quite suprising....excellent bandwidth, great imaging, fast enough, they do use output transformer however the circuit can deliver the damping and voltage swings needed by the impedance demands of this panel. And even better they can be had real world prices somebody can actually afford.

I am now seeing gear over five figures being called mid-line...I would say out of control as far as price points but that is another topic...

Once Again Tubes Rule the Rabibit Hole...the Sand never got off the beach.

Ted, that would be a fun trip to head to Georgia with Rich and his Sanders amp and swing by and pick up Ricardo and a hand cart to load the Pass X250 and make a weekend of it.

Perhaps when the weather gets better, the birds are chirping and there is some green on the branches around here a road trip is in order.

What's the use with rubbing sand on the skin. If you wanna know, you got to go deep.

Thanks for the kind words Ted. Just for the record I never thought that the Marsh could compete with the Wolcott monoblocks, not in a nanosecond. I was just letting Ted borrow it while his Wolcotts were being serviced. I let him borrow a B&K ST 202+ that does an awesome job of pushing my SDA-1Cs, but is not so great with the Sound Labs. Those are some hard speakers to drive for sure, but once you find something that can properly push them like Ted's Wolcotts, they are pure magic! No problem at all Ted. I hope to get over your way soon.

Maybe, just maybe, if all of the planets align in all the right ways the resident vampire can personally deliver his sand amp. Root beer is a must and plan on staying up late...like 'till dawn.
