DIY LSiC stand

It was a perfect weekend to putz around so I figured I'd make a stand for my LSiC. I always had it placed on top of the TV & it was very close to the ceiling. I was happy with it's performance but I knew it could be improved. I used the existing amp stand as a base & I must say it worked out extremely well. My wife was even happy with the new look compared to being mounted on the TV. The difference in sound is quite noticable over the top mounted position. The LSiC really meshes in with the 15's & the new soundstage is remarkable! I'm very glad I decided to make the switch. I know a lot of guys swear that the LSiC responds extremely well to mods but for now the new sound has me very content. Maybe I'll consider looking into the mod down the road a bit.

That looks like the perfect place for it, and the base makes sense and looks great!

It does make a world of difference from it's original location on top of the TV. Better soundstage, vocals are more distinct, & the blending with my LSi15 mains is all the more evident.

Have the tweeter from the center closer to the mains will make the soundstage more coherent.

    Looking good!

Is the center stand drilled into the granite or just sitting on top?

You have a rottie? Couldn't help but noticing the little statuette - I love mine.

    Great setup!
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

Just sitting on top of the granite, with rubber feet on the bottom of the wood.
