Problem with hookup

Hey all, this is my first time setting up a H/T that wasn't an "out of the box" set up. I have all of the wires ran, speakers in place, and everything fired up but now I am getting no audio or video? All the I get is just a blue screen, I can see the menu from the receiver on the screen but nothing else. Please let me know if you have any ideas or I have something done wrong in my hookup.

TV: Samsung 67" connected to the HDMI 1 connected to the HDMI out port on my Onkyo NR-708

Sony PS3: Connected to the BD/DVD port on the AVR

DirectTV HD/DVR box: connected to the cable/sat port

That should be correct right? All everything into the receiver and then the HDMI out to the TV should give me picture and audio I assume.

Thanks,

Jeff

Make sure your tv's input is set to hdmi 1 to begin with. When you change inputs on the receiver to play cable TV, what happens ? The receiver has to be on all the time the way you have it hooked up unless the receiver has a "through" mode which may require it to be in standby. Did you read the receivers manual ? You have to set up each input on the receiver. Should be a section on it in the manual. What kind of receiver are we talking about anyway ?
