I'm in the process of upgrading my 5.1 ht. at the moment I've got Polk RM85 speakers with a Cambridge Soundworks P500 sub. I just bought a Pioneer VSX-1020 to replace my Onkyo, since my new avr is 7.1 I'm thinking about new fronts and center and using the existing fronts as back surrounds. so I was wondering if the M40 or 30's would work up front with the rm85's in the back? also what center would work best? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

    Welcome to CP
You are mentioning 2 differnt types of sounds. IMO you would be better of matching RM's all the way around.
2nd option would be m30's or 40's rear and 60/70's front w/matching centers with the series you choose.

You also have to take in consideration of room size and choose a sub to match room size.

Search the forum and go have a listen to make your choice...enjoy
