Howdy Guys ,
I am setting up a HTPC S/PDIF to my Marantz SR 7500 I would like to get some kind of surround . I have SDA2 , monitor 12 and 10's they are all first release versions I believe.
The SDA2 I bought new in 1985 while stationed in Landstuhl, Germany.
the M12 and M10 bought local via craigslist had to replace tweeters in the 12swith the RDO version They all sound great would prefer to keep the SDA2 for my Music 2 channel ...
I need center channel I am looking at finding CS350 is this a good match to what I have ?
appreciate any advice thanks Kent

Okay no response. So I have been searching and reading everything I can . I have a question what are Larry's rings ? . I know I will be rebuilding all of my speakers in the future and would like What are Larrys ring ?
thanks Kent -
The CS3500 would be a good match. Larry's rings are used to secure the drivers in the cabinets much better than just **** the drivers into wood. Larry is TOOLFORLIFEFAN here.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Thanks a bunch Sal and Ben ,
I have the 10's as center and the 12's as fronts sound great great to me. but is not surround. so I thought I would check around to see what to look for ... I try not look to often , I really like my Polks and can see my self buying any that are a good deal . Matter of fact some 10's in Fresno with stands I think I need to look at for 100 bucks . CRS are on the list to find also.
I thought that is what larry's rings might be . I have a CNC so I will remember and make some when I rebuild my speakers . thanks again . I have enjoy reading both of your post and hopefully I have absorbed a little bit of the knowledge you are so generous to share .
Every time I get done reading I just have to go listen them and I am still very happy and amazed with the SDA 2. I see they are not really liked as much as the later versions . I will have to find some later ones . I bought the 12's because some said they were better then the SDA 2's ... While they are real nice. I like the sda2 better and the 12's better then the 10's ... but I am sure I will never let any of them go
will try locate the CS350 also thanks again

Kent, a CS400 or 400i will work well as a center as well. They all share the trilam tweeter...not a perfect match, but pretty close.
Combo rig:
Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
PB13Ultra RO
BW Silvers
Oppo BDP-83SE -
Thanks Ron will add it to my watch for list.
