Replaced 2000 tweeter
Just finished replacing the 2000 tweeters in my Monitor 7s. Haven't listened extensively but at first listening I really couldn't hear a difference.....if anything the new RDO tweeters may sound a bit brighter than the 2000s. FWIW the RDOs are available for $60 each from Polk. CP members get a 20% discount.
Saw a pair of Monitor 5jrs on e-bay last night. The seller wasn't sure what model they were and one person wrote in telling the seller that they were 5jrs and that the silver 2000 tweeters were "worth a mint". I've got 5 pairs with 2000 tweeters guess I'll just replace them with RDOs and make myself a few bucks selling the 2000s.:cool::cool:

Seriously give those tweeters some time to break in. They will calm down and smooth out dramatically.
The SL1000 and SL2000 are only worth about $30 each at the most. And to be honest the Silver face SL1000 is a terrible tweeter. I should know I have four of them. -

That's being very generous if he plans to sell them here, think more in the $20 range. Ebay, depends on demand perhaps may be worth more than $20.
