So anyone know where I can find this info? Anyone with original stands that could take some measurements?

I have the original stands with my 5's.
Unless someone can supply the measurements sooner, I'd be glad to help later this evening when I get home.

I have seen that thread but didn't realize the stands were the same for the 5/7/10 models. I figured the stands for 5's would be a little taller.

Bamark, that would be great! Any chance of posting a pic or two?

ahh, looks like Mon 5 stands are different. The pdf's in those threads show for 7/10's.

The same basic design should work for the 5s. Just make the column taller.
Wood Technologies makes a nice stand but they are not cheap. I have an 8" for my ADS L810s and a 12" for my ADS L710s. I bought the ones made from real wood but they also make stands made from mdf.

I have your measurements. When I purchased these stands, they came with assembly instructions on one side, and a template on the other. The template is used when attaching the 5, 7 or 10 to the metal base that sits on top of the stand. The metal base is already designed to angle the speakers at a 5 (?) degree angle.

OK, the base (bottom piece) is 15 5/8" wide by 13 5/8" deep by 1" thick.
It was routered out in the center so that the second piece would slip into it.
I'll try to scan a picture to show you.

The pillar in between the upper plate and the base is 7 1/2" tall, 5" square with the corners cut flat to about 12/16". Now at the bottom of this pillar, it is also routered so as to slide into the base for additional stablility. I'm thinking the thickness of the pillar is maybe 3/4" - 7/8".

There is an 8 1/4" x 1/4" bolt that goes thru the upper plate, the pillar, and screws into the lower base. There is no nut underneath. A metal thread insert is sunk into the center of the base.

If you see the link that vstarkwell provided, that is exactly wha they look like. The picture that might tie all this together for you would show the routered out section of the base, and how the pillar fits into it.

Thanks Mark! I was mainly concerned with the height of the center pillar. Figured it would be a little taller than 7/10 stands. A picture of the 5 stands would be sweet! Thanks for the info!

EDIT: I see you posted the instructions! Thanks.

You're quite welcome. If you need to see what the 5's look like on the stands, let me know. I need to dismantle one to tighten the bolt (after about 22 years or so), so I can also take it apart post pics.
The only thing I wish I had not done, is attach them to the stands with the 5/8" screws. Sacrilege, I know, but I had little ones running around at the time. Mine have remained in excellent condition, but I would like to see what recapping them would do.
Currently hooked up to my SX-650, RG-1 and Technics SL-23 TT.

Hasn't this already been worked out years ago in the previous thread? The template is the same for all 3 loudspeakers using the same stand. What's different here? There were 3 versions of these stands.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    ^ Sorry!

I was thinking since the Mon5 was a smaller speaker than the 7 and 10 the stand would be a little taller. Guess not.
