Just saw on Facebook, Ted (dudeinaroom)'s house caught fire sometime today. No details on what was damaged... Here's his FB status update:

"Ok got the good news out yesterday, so here is 2days news....our place caught fire. Stefs clothes and mine are more than likely gone. dk about anything else"

He asked that someone post this here to let people know that he won't be on for a bit.
Ludicrous gibs!

Is this the same place he was being evicted from??? Glad it sounds as if everyone is ok.

Forgive me please mods for saying so, but JJ, you are a complete a$$%^&e. Go back to being you somewhere else, just not here as you are not welcome. Especially with comments like that.

Alright guys, The Family is all okay. I had to fax a few things for a new job, had the interview yesterday, was supposed to start training this monday. I called the area supervisor(knew him from school) and told him the situation, and he said no problem, they start another training class in 2 weeks. We were in the process of moving out so some of our stuff is fine. My and my wife's clothes I know are gone, the kids' may be salvageable. Our bed is trashed. Our dryer caught fire while my wife was doing laundry. She saw smoke and went to see what was up, got down to the utility room and flames were coming out of the dryer. The eviction was part of an agreement with our landlord, we had with held rent on the on two different occasions due to them not making repairs. We made an agreement to be out by December 31st, as we had a rent to own deal lined up for the middle of December, that fell though. We had found a place to rent last week and we are moving in this weekend.

Does anyone on here know what legal right I have to go into the house and try to salvage what I can (I think the Mon. 7s and the SDAs will have some smoke damage but should be fine). I'm assuming my parasound and Denon are going to be done as they were in my bedroom waiting to be fixed. I don't know when I will be back on as I am using internet at a past place of employment(still get along with the owner).

    later,
    dude

    **** dude, sorry...

BTW I had my house hit by lighting. Threw me **** over teakettle out of my chair whilst at the keyboard. Neighbors saw it start in the front yard, walk it's way over the house and finish in the back yard. I run my business from home:

Lost security system, security cameras, phone system, 4 servers, 3 desktop computers, monitors, almost all major appliances.

My Crown DC300A made it unscathed:confused:

Still have some pics of the lighting damage. Let me know if you need anything.

She's not playing with toys yet. We went up to the Baby Pantry think food pantry, but for clothes, toys, and books for 0-5 year olds, so she has a few outfits for now. The Red Cross gave us a pre-paid debit card with $350 on it for clothes and the likes. We have a couple days of clothes that we went out a bought earlier tonight. We may head down to Bay city and hit good will and the salvation army so we don't have to wash clothes every couple days.

As for Sizes My wife wears a large, I think her pants are 14 or 16, don't quote me though My oldest boy is in size 7 the other boy is in 5-6's and our oldest daughter is in 4t, the little one is still in 0-3 month clothes I wear large tops and 36/34 with a 30/32 inseam. I should have the address of our new rental in a few days and will update when I can.

Damn dude. I'm terribly sorry about your loss. I know hindsight is always 20/20, but it kills me when people say they cant afford renters/life insurance.

Good luck and let us know if there's anything else we can do. Unfortunately, i dont have any clothes in those sizes...im a small guy
