WOW!

I just got my new FXi's in the mail today! (no WAY I was paying Circuit City's prices) My old JBL 610's did a good job as surrounds, but these things are great!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go watch every DVD and listen to every CD I own.

(Nice job, Polk)

Whoa, still impressed by these things!

I was originally going to get the 50's, but then I got a chance to listen to both side by side. You're right, Dorokusai, there's not much of a difference. The 50's had just a hair more punch at the bottom, of course, but not a whole heck of a lot. Besides, I have the csi30 as rear-center, so I got the 30's to match that.

I've got them off to the side of my sweet spot in dipole config.

jkratzer, I got them online from Crutchfield...$279 for the pair!!

I configured the FXi's to act as stereo mains for a while, just to see how they held up, and WOW! It's really amazing how much bass Polk's new drivers put out. I actually shook the room with these things alone! The mids and top are crystal clear as well.

Beautiful speaker, Polk, well done indeed.

    So, the system is now:

    Sony STR-DA2ES 6.1

    Front : RT55i (bi-wired, 12 gauge)
    Center : CS400i (bi-wired, 12 gauge)
    Surround : FXi30 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Surround Back : CSi30
