Just wondering how a pair of RTi4's would work with RM85 center and surrounds? Looking at the Bookshelf speakers from FutureShop. Thanks , any help greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Club Polk Rodney

Problem is your center must match your fronts so pairing RM85 center with RTi4s is far from being the best option. Nothing stops you to start with the RTi4s and once a good deal comes up on the appropriate center you can jump on it (depending on your receiver you could the use your RM85 center for rear center creating a 6.x system?)

    Cheers!

When I started off I bought the RM 10's and a sub ( RM 10's are similar to the RM85's ). I then bought 2 sets of the RTi4's before stepping up to the RTi10 towers and the CSiA6 center. I actually used 3 of these RTi4's up front ( L,R & C ) for awhile and they sounded very good together, and much better than the RM10 center. You could try that also, especially since the RTi4's are on at F/S for $149 Pair. My 4's are now doing surround duty for my main H/T setup. You are all set to go using your 4's for surrounds if you ever upgrade your front 3 as I did,so they won't go to waste.

Will CSi2 work good with RTi4 as front and RM85 as surrounds? I also have a second set of RM67's for 7.1. Thanks for reply.

You should focus on the largest CSi center you can afford with the minimum a CSi3. Read the below for sound advices on the matter.

Once your front stage is covered, any of your RMs will do fine for your surrounds and rears.
