Hi guys,
I've gone over to the 2- channel side now for some time . I got into a debate over on the Klipsch site about the need for power conditioners. Yes I do live
in an area that's lightening prone and fully understand the ramifications of a
what a strike can do to ones gear. What I don't understand is why so many
people seem to be dumping theirs. This seems to be true w/ the Monster
brand of conditioners. When trolling on E-BAY there seems to be thousands of them up for sale. So the question out there is, 1. do you get one and 2. is any brand worth the expense.

Why so many dumping theirs ? Probably to move up in quality, much like people selling receivers. Should you get one ? I think you already answered that yourself.
Power conditioners, like everything vary in quality, design, price. Read up, make an informed decision.

As H9 references, search should bring up lots of threads on power conditioners. I use Panamax, Tripplite, and PS Audio and have had good experiences with those brands. That statement should not be read as a condemnation of any other brands, I just don't have direct experience with other brands.
