Just out of curiosity, what is the difference between the two aside from the woofer size? If I was to set up a HT, would I get any benifit from the 15/25 over the 9?

I was just informed that my wife got a nice signing bonus at a new company and I'm trying to help her spend her money and might actually have a shot. :D

Unfortunately no one in Dallas caries these speakers on a decent rig that I've found  so I need your info.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

I wouldn't spend the money on the LSi 25 with the powered subs. The LSi 9 with a nice $500 - $600 sub with the 9's crossed over at 60 - 80 hz would be very nice for Home Theater (that's what I do). Of course you have the additional cost of stands which can run $100 - $200. If you get the LSi 15 and a sub then you are looking at an additional $300 - $400 roundabouts. If money is not an issue, and you do a lot of music listening, I would probably lean towards the LSi 15s; I have both and I haven't been able to decide which one sounds better. They both sound good and I don't think you can make a mistake here either way.

I agree with PJ, LSi9's with a world class sub, outta site, would be outstanding.

I hope to 2 Channel myself into oblivion someday......just DEAD with my hair flared back, sitting in reclining chair with Pink Floyd DSOTM on SACD.

PS - And for Henry, a beer in hand. :D
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Hey Maurice,

Yes, I already got the LSi 15s. I have been breaking them in on the two channel rig with the B&K gear. Moved the LSi 15 to the living room with the Rotel gear yesterday and have been slowly playing them a little louder. They sound sweet. I'm going to keep breaking them in and I will have a full update on my initial impressions and update my system showcase picutures soon.

You would like them, the LSi 15s.
