Check this hella-cool CES winner out...

Our highly proprietary electronic lenses use a combination of chemistry, electricity and other components to create dynamic and intelligent optics for the correction of presbyopia (loss of near focus after the age of 40) and other visual disorders. These lenses focus faster than the blink of an eye and do so without moving parts.

Wearers will instantly achieve optimal vision no matter where they look – far, near, or in-between. In addition, lenses based on PixelOptics electronic technology will dramatically reduce distortion typically associated with conventional state-of-the-art bifocals and progressive addition lenses. This is accomplished by changing the index of refraction of an electro-active layer located within the lens. This technology is the first ophthalmic solution that crosses over into the consumer electronic health sector.

So much for SuperFocus...
More later,
Tour...

Im sure in a few years they will come down in price just like anything else. My eyes are getting worse and I now have progressive lenses. I am not a candidate for lasix so I am stuck with glasses.

Saw these on a "cool items at CES" segment on CNBC's Power Lunch. I swear the person bringing them up quoted a price of $200, but the company's own press release does state an "expected retail price of approximately $1200". But that price includes "frames, lenses, coatings, charger and all electronics."

The lenses include an LCD-like layer. The frames contain "micro-machine accelerometers" that recognize when the wearer tilts their head (as they would to read or look at a computer screen) and instantly instructs the "layer" to change shape.

Here's the link to the full press release:

Hey, the price is bound to come down with time... and the last pair of progressive lenses with anti-glare, anti-scratch, etc., in designer frames ran me $500+...
    More later,
    Tour...
