Plasma wall mount

Here's what I'm hanging:
Panasonic TC-P58S2 58" plasma, about 75lbs. It's gonna be hung higher than normal viewing height, so it will need to tilt a bit. I saw the monoprice model, but it looks like it would be mighty tight in the back. The problem is, I won't be able to use 90 degree HDMI adapters because the coaxial input is located right below HDMI 1--so it would interfere with a 90 degree adapter.
Any suggestions? Is there a mount that telescopes out a bit?

I'm not being a smart **** here, Steve. If you don't have enough room for the standard HDMI cable, then how would you have room for an extender and the 90 degree one?
The last install I did, we just added some thick washers behind the mount to increase the distance coming from the wall.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
The last mount I picked up was a Newegg one with tilt. Although it would be nice to get a full articulating model - the price seems to articulate pretty quick too.

Note the pic, see how the coaxial input is in the way of a 90 degree HDMI adapter...Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

If he's tilting it, it's not going to be flush mount. The cantilever mount is probably the best bet.....Main Surround -

Thanks for those links!
Can't do inside the wall easily, as it is an exterior wall and will have fire breaks and insulation. Everything will have to be surface mount.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
I'm guessing I'm missing a piece of the puzzle, but why not use HDMI 1 instead? (Guessing it has to do with you being 2 channel and using both inputs on the TV?)
Otherwise - I think you've got both solutions given to you. Either use the swivels and keep the wire outside the wall, or put the gang in the wall (in which case I'd run the cable through-wall for a few feet, and come out another gang behind the receiver to keep everything clean).
Depends on how handy you're feeling that day I guess.65" Sony X900 (XBR-65X900E)

Because I need both inputs, so using a 90 on one wouldn't help.
I guess I was hoping that there was a basic tilt mount, but with more rear clearance. Maybe just use some bushings like Treitz mentioned...or go articulated mount.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
Steve, worst case scenario given what you have to work with would be to mount two 2x4's against the wall [horizontally screwed into studs] and mount the bracket on that. It will give you more tilt [depending on the bracket used], more room for connections and it would also be less of a pain in the **** to fiddle with connections in the future. Sand it down a bit to make it look a little bit more professional and then paint it black before the install.
I'm quite sure there is a thread around here that explains where you can get that black paint.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
Although I've never used these, it seems the first adapter link above,

swivels 180 deg from the pic. So you could go straight up instead of straight down into the coax. So it's only a little extra loop of cable to make a u-turn back down and route it anywhere you want. -
Thanks fellas, I think I'm gonna go with Monoprices' extending/tilting mount pn# 3724. The TV can certainly be anywhere from about 4" to 10" from the wall, as it will be hanging over my audio rack. I just need enough clearance to allow the turntable to go on the rack (see my showcase). The back of the rack is about 8-10" off the wall.

If you look at the pic with the new plasma (6th pic going LtoR), it's just simply going to be elevated a bit, and on the wall from where it is now; clearing the top of my cabinet for my TT...:biggrin:Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
