Rti10 & RTiA7 4 ohm Woofers

It appears That the 7" Woofers in these speakers are 4 ohm connected in Series. What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of this setup ? Should this arrangement be considered differently, when deciding what Recevier to power them with ? Are these speakers still considered 8 ohm as listed by Polk ? Its a little confusing to say the least.

    The RTi10's and RTiA7's are 8 ohms nominal. It doesn't matter what the impedance of the individual drivers is, it's the sum of all the drivers together that determines the nominal impedance of the speaker as a whole.

    The RTi10's and A7's are quite easy to drive, and any AVR on the market will be able to drive them quite well. An external amp will bring out their best, but definitely isn't necessary with them.
