New Guy equalizer questions

Hello all
Have just started back into audio after a twenty year hiatus. I bought a pair of RTi A7s for the front channels, a CSi A6 for center, and a pair of FXi A4 as surrounds. I have also stacked a pair of PSW 125 subs. These all run through a Onkyo TX-NR1008. I have several questions, please excuse my ignorance. Should I set the speakers at identical levels, or should the fronts be set to a higher volume than say the surrounds. Should I equalize all speakers the same, or have the surrounds and center set for more treble and mid. Should I set them all for treble and mid and rely on the subs for bass? Is there a good link for proper equalization tables? The subs have five frequencies, should they all be identical (have only had bass and treble knobs in the past)? What ohms ( settings for four or six)? Is 80Hz the correct crossover? Finally is stacking subs an effective way to use them? I need an audio for morons book, any help is appreciated.

I would set the fronts to large, the surrounds and center to small and crossover the subs at 80 Hz. I would also try the factory calibration. Many of the modern calibrations are very good. Read the manual. Welcome to Club Polk by the way.SDA-1C (full mods)
