I just got a CS 300 in mint condition and it sounds good but not as good as my RT5s. Anyway......what is the piece mounted just behind the port? Is it part of the "power port". TIA

$86 shipped. I have no idea what they should cost but I've only seen two for sale that were still available. It really is mint.TO ERR IS HUMAN. TO FORGIVE IS CANINE.

You're correct...that's the Power Port, which allows you to place the speaker practically against the wall, without negatively affecting the performance of the port.The nirvana inducer-
