Hi everyone. First post with a couple of questions for you. Short background...currently have Klipsch reference floorstandings, center, and bookshelfs. Moving into an apartment soon and they are too big to take with me. Went back and forth between quintets and blackstones because they are in the same price range pretty much. I will be powering the Blackstones with a Yamaha RX-V1800 receiver. It's got 130W per channel so I'm hoping that's not too much.

So now my questions. What would you go with? The TL1600 comes with a sub. I don't really NEED one because I have a Klipsch currently but with the sub is the same price as without. The TL2 is $100 more but if I buy it now, I can take advantage of the free Polk subwoofer offer.

Basically, would you go with the TL1600 or the TL2 w/the free sub? Can the TL1's handle my receiver's power? Secondly, what's a good low-profile bracket to get for wall mounting? I basically want to mount them next to a wall mounted HDTV. 1 on each side and the center below so it looks like they're "floating" on the wall. The close to the wall the better.

Thanks guys. Never thought I'd leave the Klipsch family but I've recommended Polk to many of my friends and I've always loved the sound.

The speakers will handle the power fine, it's doubtful your receiver will ever actually hit 130w/ channel, even being a Yamaha. Also, you want more clean power as opposed to not enough power. Do not worry about 'too much power'.
As for subs, get the upgrade, try the free sub out, if you like your Klipsch better, sell the Polk on craigslist.

Well, I wouldn't sell it because eventually I'll have a house where 2 rooms will probably need a complete 5.1 setup. My Klipsch, I think, has seen better days. Doesn't have the punch it used to although it's only a 10" and in a HUGE basement. I think I may go with the TL250. Anyone else wanna chime in on the wall mounting?

Definitely go with the TL250 and take advantage of the free PSW111 sub !! The TL1600 is great bang for the buck but the TL250 satellites are quite a jump in performance !! and the PSW111 is big jump again from the included sub in the TL1600 as well :)

Well guys, I went for the TL250's with the free sub. Cannot wait for this set! My first ever set of Polk speakers. With Klipsch being bought out by Audiovox, I may have permanently swtiched. Thanks for all the replies

    Thanks,

crutchfield has this deal going on right now. Instead of taking the psw111 free sub, you can also get a $299 credit towards any polk sub so I got the tl250 set and the dsw440pro for an extra $130. Sub retails at $430. Deal goes on until the end of February.
