Nice. I've been watching some coverage on things like Attack of the Show. 3D seems to be the biggest thing this year unfortunately, but I'm sure you'll find a lot of other cool things.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

They've got too much invested in it, I think. I read a report that people were buying TVs like mad during the Christmas season, but avoiding 3D. I'll have to look for that article.

Interesting. I was surprised how many 3D camcorders and still cameras were being announced. Is that something people really give a crap about?

Stas, I'm trying. Pics forthcoming, everyone is blogging high end, so I'll put up some main floor stuff today, and do the Venetian rounds tonight and tomorrow.

Actually, from what I've read tablets are the "biggest" thing at CES this year. From what I've seen, there's already been at least 25 new tablets (of various sizes) shown...and I'm sure I missed more than a few.

I wasn't able to go this year with the divorce and whatnot, but I am definitely planning on going next year!

I guess, I dunno how you rate "biggest." It seems like 3D has infiltrated nearly every market - cameras and camcorders, TVs, gaming, etc.

You really have to hand it to the Apple marketing machine re : tablets. People have tried to get tablet PCs off teh ground for YEARS, it really took Apple putting out the iPad to finally kick the market off the ground.

Yeah, I know. Guess it doesn't matter until the Apple Lemmings start spanking off to it. Thing is, from what I've seen, the tablet PCs are far better than the iPad. The PC's were doing 10 years ago what the iPad does now. Graphics weren't as good but hey, shiny sells I guess.
