One of your weak links is definitely the fact that you're mixing SDA's and LSi's with a CSiA6 center. That's a pretty wide array of VERY different sounding speakers.

I also think those LSi15's are basically being wasted as surrounds. Those are some excellent sounding speakers, and in the surround position they're hardly even being used. Personally, I'd move the LSi15's up front in the HT, and get an LSi series center and surrounds. Then move the SDA's to the 2 channel rig, or get rid of them altogether and get something else. It sounds like you're ready to move on to something else aside from SDA's...so by all means do it! If you ever decide that you miss the SDA's, it'll be easy enough to find another pair.

The CSiA6 is the recommended center for the SDA's, and that is about the only way to go there. It was my intent to replace the SDA's with the LSI's, but they just don't sound as good to my ear, and were placed in the surround spot instead. They do perform well in that position, far better than anything else I have tried there.

HT however is the least of my concerns as the only time itgets used is when I am watching tv or the occasional movie. Where I really want to improve things is in two channel listening, and with my move about 4 months off, I want to start planning early.

If 2 channel is your main concern, then it may be time to move on from the SDA's. Lots of good sounds out there from a variety of speakers.

CSiA6's may be the best match of the recent centers, but I'd think the older CS350 or 400 would be a better overall SRS match... but none of the three are a good front stage match for the 15's.

SDA's over 15's up front would be my preference as well. I find the whole LSi line too laid back to engage me. My SRS's, even with their cursed, tweeters from hell (the original SL2000's), do me just fine. May be the case with you as well...

What else have you tried as surrounds? Other full range towers? Bookselves? If the latter, it would not be surprising that the 15's are most pleasing to date...

I have run TSi 100's and the Monitor 50's in the surround slots. they replaced my Energy Take5 set. They were the first things to go in my setup as my old Yamaha RX-v2090 blew those things apart in less than a nanosecond.

I don't agree that SDA's are a weakness in a 2ch set-up. Now if he had asked about wanting to try a speaker with a different presentation then one could say Maggies or whatever.

Maggies as well as other designs of loudspeakers aren't without their deficiences as well. The SDA is not a weak link, but if one wants to try something different then have that be the reason to swap speakers.

SDA's get better and better as the gear gets better and better so they are not a "weakness" in my mind.
