yes, you've all heard that one of the largest payouts in Mega Millions lottery history was won by two people here in the Northwest. one about 150 miles away.. the other one has yet to come forward, but the ticket was bought less than 30 minutes from me.

I guess I should buy a ticket now... they split 380 million, that's about 90 million each after taxes. wow. I could use that kind of coin.

The closest Gas Station to me which I buy Chevon, had a winner of Mega Millions lottery, and a winner of another lottery. This Chevon gas station is 3 miles from my house, and I drive by this station twice every day I go to work.

The one whom won the Mega Millions Lottery is a local Doctor, go figure in fact he was my co-worker doctor. I say was since I think he retired now.

    My wife's in H/R.

The day before he was to start work, a new hire called from Austin, TX to ask what he needed to do to resign.

    Yup, hit the lotto...

if say you hit the lotto for 10 million.. how far would you extend the money out to your family/friends?

would you keep it all? Share it equally between your family? if so.. does that include.. second, third cousins, uncles, aunts.. or just brothers and sisters and mom and dad?

How about friends? would you pick 10 of your best friends and give em all a nice gift.

just curious how far a person's generosity would extend out.

Immediate family only. If my dad wanted to take his cut and share it with his brothers, that's fine with me. brothers, sisters, moms, dads, and grandmas and grandpas. I'd help out one of my uncles, the closest one I have. I also have a few close friends that'd get some...and I'd offer up a bad **** karma on here...haha.

so you won 10 million, take home ~ $5mil. Give away 1.75 mil. Have $3.25 mil left over. Even at a 3% return, $8,125/month is more than enough to live on for me right now...and that's not having to do any work. Pick up some investment properties and start a small franchise, I'd be set!
