I've emailed the guy, said I was interested, and told him I'm going to be in his area tonight...but I'm not sure with some of the fake MIT stuff going around if these could be fake?

Any thoughts...

Hard to be sure. Ask questions, where did he buy them from? When? Authorized dealer? etc...

That part I have covered...but if he says he bought from a friend, or bought off ebay ~ herein lies the problem. If someone knew what to tell me to look for (if in fact there are true fake ones out there? I dunno?) then maybe I could look at them and know whether they were true MIT.

Thanks for the input so far, keep it coming...

    Thanks Jesse!

With the fake business out of the way...are these considered decent cables, comparing to my AudioquestGR8 ($300 new)?

Troy, the MIT Terminator series were their entry level cables back in the '90's. The top of the series were the T2's and went down to the T6. I do not recall the price points. The T2's on the used market are still popular and sell quickly.

Yep, and if they are white they are quite old and no one 6-8-10 years ago was faking MIT cables.

I love my T2's and for the price I say go for it and compare them to the Audioquest. That's waht this hobby is about. You'll be able to flip them for no loss.

Do they have the Iconn interchangeable ends? If not then they are much older. What type of ends, banana, spade, pin?

I knew someone was going to say that. Well, now that I know they're legitamate, I probably will. Seems like a good price and he says they are lightly used (if that even matters for speaker cable). Just have to do a showdown...see who wins!

 I don't even know yet. Haven't gotten that far being concerned with the authenticity first, but I asked him to call me. What if they are older?

@$45 that's a good price. MIT's seem to hold their value. Again since they have the White sheathing they are atleast 10 years old probably closer to 15. Are the network boxes ribbed or smooth?

At the price it doesn't matter that they are old. They did improve the line over the years but @$45 what do expect. Those probably retailed for around $299 or more in the day.

If they are intact and have good ends on them (Iconn or not) it's a steal and you can flip them. Really a no brainer if they are complete and unmolested.
