Lovan Iso Platform + Freebie!

Lovan isolation platform. Measures 16.5 deep, 19.5 wide. Three brass spikes on the bottom, filled with sand (from the factory - unit is sealed). My setup has changed, and this simply doesn't fit in the rack anymore. I'm also including a set of 3 Sonic Boost damping feet from Audio Uforia.

I've found the combination of the heavy, inert platform with the soft, absorbing feet to be the best combo for most CD players I've had, reducing and damping internal vibrations from the unit itself, and keeping out bad vibes from bass laden tracks.

It's got some marking from trying out different cones, etc, but isn't noticeable with a player on top of it. Signs of use, not abuse, living room presentable.

Retail on the feet is $30, the platform sold for $200 about 10 years ago. $100 shipped to your door for all of it. (will ship after CES - and I'll probably feel like stuffing in some CES goodies along with it). Paypal is go, any questions, ask away. Please post interest here, my pm's fill up quickly. Leaving for CES in the morning, so if no one bites tonight - I may not be able to check the thread until late tomorrow, possibly Friday morning, but I will get back to you.

Cheers,
Russ

    Russ -

Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Is this an 'Amp Stand'? My amplifier doesn't fit into my current audio rack because it's too wide and heavy. Instead of buying a whole new stand for lots of money, I was looking around and considering amp stands for just the amp. I wasn't sure if this was JUST used for CD players, or if it could be both. If so, I'm interested, and would just need to know the weight capacity.

    Thanks,

    James

I wouldn't stand on it, but I've got 50 pounds of lead shot sitting on it now, I can push it up to 100 if you want me to try. It's not really for floor use, it goes IN the rack, on the shelf, whatever. If you are looking for something on the floor - I'd say no, unless you have hardwoods, and no kids or pets, then sure you could certainly use it as an amp stand. I mention the hardwoods because the spikes aren't designed to dig through thick carpet.

Now I do have a pair of large amp stands, which I currently have subwoofers on, but they wouldn't be nearly as affordable, and I'd want to keep the pair together and not sell just one.
