Hey guys
I was curious the other day about what my low budget home theater speakers were made up in terms of material used of and how much better they were compared to other low end systems out there.
thanks.

Hi, Audio. I know that years ago (back when I was selling Polk speakers) the RM satellite cabinets were made of Corian. Yes, that Corian. They were dense, non-resonant, and if you needed to you could use them as little cutting boards.
I'm not sure what they're made of these days, but I can tell you that they're denser than all major competitors, and that's no accident. The most important thing a speaker cabinet can do is not resonate, and the Polks are very inert. Pick them up sometime and you'll see what I mean.
I have no axe to grind here, and I don't work for any manufacturer or retailer (anymore), but if you take some of your favorite music to your local Polk dealer I think you'll be impressed.

Sorry for the delay, Mark. I must have taken a wrong turn. ;-)
