Denon DVD-1940ci Universal player

I have a NIB Denon DVD-1940ci universal player for sale. I bought three of these on closeout, one for the bedroom, living room, and a spare. When I first received it I did take it out of the box to make sure it worked, then packed it back up and it's been in the closet ever since. Doubt I'll ever have a need for it.

Might be interested. Any idea how this might compare to a Cabridge DVD89 or a Marantz DV7600?

Haven't used either of those players, sorry. I know I preferred it to the Yamaha DVD-S1800, DVD-S1900, Marantz VC6001. The only players I directly compared it to.

That's decent company at that price point! A couple of members have the Yamaha units and like them quite a bit. So it bodes well for the Denon...which I must say, I've never heard.

I bought that exact model last year, it's an excellent DVD player, well worth the asking price considering it also plays SACDs. Tough to find better at this price point, IMO.
