Subwoofer for Luxman R 117

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is a way to connect a powered subwoofer to a Luxman 117? Thanks very much for your assistance.

If it does not have a sub out connection you will need to get a sub with line level (Speaker level) inputs. Most of the subs Polk makes have line level inputs. You would connect from the Luxman speaker out, to the sub and then to your speakers.

Thank you for your help MAD. The receiver does have a pre out, which I'm assuming I could also use as line level inputs to the sub. My sub, POLk PSW 110 has line and speaker level inputs. Is there are preferred way to do this? My main speakers are SDA ICs.

I assume the pre out is specifically labeled "sub". If that is true the easiest way is the pre out and that is the only method I have personally used. If you go the line level route there will be extra speaker cables but otherwise they should both work the same. I would start with the pre out and spend some time dialing in the sub.
