    Ionizer, same thing. That will kill the stinch producing mold. Even if you can't see it, it might still be there. Febreeze kills germs and mold to.
    Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

    It's harder to do here in the winter, but I have had good luck misting the jacket and liner with a 3% hydrogen peroxide spray and drying outdoors on a bright sunny day. I've sprayed the jacket inside and out and gently propped it open with (believe it or not) a golf ball.

    Vinyl probably shouldn't ever be exposed to direct sunlight and can be dried with a soft lint free cloth. I do not know if peroxide is harmful to vinyl, but it has worked for me on 2 use LP's I purchased on eBay that were once very mildewy, but now smell (and sound) great.

    I'm guessing the hydrogen peroxide could fade the paper and cardboard too if overused, but it didn't seem to affect mine with the fine mister I used.

    My chemistry is a bit rusty, but I think ozone and hydrogen peroxide might work in a similar manner.

    inspiredsports, that would probably work the best. I will have to wait for a bit warmer day and put it in he garage for now. I still coulndt wait to hear it so i threw the lp in the old spin clean lol. i will do that for the cover though as soon as weather permits.

    I had a box of smelly records which lost their smell when I moved to a dry climate. Prior to moving they stunk up my basement. I'm thinking you could microwave them but have not tried it.

    ^ Never thought of that, but it could work. Especially would consider it for the jackets...

    No, it's not (at least not at concentations you get at Wal-Mart) and yes they are...

    Ozone = O3 Peroxide = H2O2

    Both are not fully stable. Each disinfects through the release of its extra Oxygen atom...

    Wood glue will likely take the smell out of the vinyl itself; perhaps an open box of Baking Soda with the LP cover both in a sealed box.

    If it's the record itself that's smelly, vinyl-zyme should take care of it. Sleeves you can toss and replace with anti-static, plastic innersleeves. Misting the jackets or leaving them out in the sun should do the trick for the covers. Afterwards, store them in plastic outersleeves.

    That is what I was thinking:smile:
    Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
