For sale is a pair of Definitive Technology BP20 - These are easily comparable to the Polk RTia9 - they retailed for 1500 a pair back in 1996.

They use the Vifa P17WJ00 - which is now manufactured by Scanspeak

And the Vifa D27TG (Link shows a newer version) -

The crossovers will be modified by me before shipping - Auricap capacitors on the tweeter network, Solen on the woofer network and Mills 12 watt resistors.

Auricap is an extremely nice capacitor costing around $35.00 each - so very nice addition.

This speaker has four 6.5" midbass drivers that deliver rock solid, subwoofer quality bass down to 30hz. This is no joke - I have had these at my house for over a month now and they hit HARD.

A buddy of mine bought these with intentions to build a HT system around them but he decided to go with a set of Tyler Acoustics D3 instead.

Please understand that while I am selling these for my buddy - you will be dealing with me. They are in my posession, I will be boxing them up, I will be shipping them, and you will be paying me.

I will be performing all modifications -- see pictures of an example.

The speakers themselves are in great shape for their age. The top caps have some spider web scratches - I waxed them out the best I could with Zaino, they look great unless you get right on them. The bottoms look great unless you lay them down -- there is chips missing here and there from over the years.

There are no carpet spikes.

Power handling on these are 20-500 watts (We are pushing them with a 200 watt parasound.) They are bi-wire/bi-amp capable.

They are solid from 30hz and up -- no joke, for music they would NOT need a subwoofer if powered with a good amplifier.

For home theater there is none better. The bipolar sound for Home Theater is unmatched and for music they are superb throwing out a huge stage with insane bass.

These will easilly fill up a huge room.

He is looking for $700.00 shipped or $575.00 picked up with modifications.

Pics are attached, I can always attach more upon request.

Thank you

    Still available.

I would be willing to drive up to 100 miles - buyer must pay for gas both ways though...

So that would be roughly $50.00 in gas
